Jenny Scan 2007

What is "JennyScan"?

JennyScan is a fun project started by Booter to get people to start
hand-scanning again.

Who is Jenny?

Jenny is the character from the Tommy Tutone hit in 1982 and her
"fictional" phone number is mentioned in the song.  This number became
instant prank call fodder in the 1980s as described by snopes.com here:
http://www.snopes.com/music/songs/8675309.asp .

Why Scan Jenny?

Tradition!  This is one of the most notable and memorable phone numbers
of all time, so why not track it and see how the numbers change and
watch who has fun with the other end of the number.

Why was this done in 2007?

This marks the beginning of an ongoing annual project.  JennyScan will
take place each year, starting around November or December.  Hopefully,
it will happen every year!  It certainly has happened many times in the
past, but now we are actually documenting the scan results.

Can I play?

Certainly!  Just head over to the projects area at forums.binrev.com
towards the end of each year and look for the announcement of the
project.
